extra characters after save

Hi,

Whenever I save a template each time where I have a quotation mark a backwards slash is added! anyone know what’s going on!?

e.g: a div looks like this after a few saves:

<div id=\\\"page\\\">

I am using evo 1.0.5

magic quotes is on, a setting in php. talk to your host and see about shutting it off.
