    Hi All,

I’ve been troubleshooting this all night, and I am not a server tech, so I’m a little confused and need some help.

    Running Revolution 2.0.8-pl on godaddy.com, Linux / 4GH Web Hosting, PHP 5.2, MySQL 5

The site is hosted on a domain in a subdirectory - www.domain.com/keweenaw.info/ - and being pointed to by the domain keweenaw.info.

Last night I cleared the site cache and changed the appropriate config.inc.php settings as well as the rewritebase in the htaccess file. Everything on the front-end of the site looks ok except that phpthumbof thumbnails are not displaying, neither is gallery. i would log into the manager to change these system settings but the manager is also blank.

I’ve been through the documentation on setting base_url and base_path, site_url, etc... but am running up against a wall.

While the site was staging, the rewritebase was set to /keweenaw.info, and I have changed it to "/"

Now when I view the source on the phpthumbs, it shows that it’s still writing in /keweenaw.info, so I get something like this - http://www.keweenaw.info/keweenaw.info/assets/... etc...

The blank manager is still throwing me off too, but the priority right now is to just get the site displaying properly on the front-end.

Any help would be much appreciated. If you guys need more info than what I’ve provided here just let me know...

Thanks in advance for any responses...

The phpthumbof thumbs are showing now without me having done anything, lol. I like it but I hate it when things fix themselves...

If I figure out this manager thing I’ll post my process/solution...

What are your exact settings for MODX_MANAGER_PATH and MODX_MANAGER_URL in config.inc.php?

If those are set correctly, you might try clearing the cache by hand - delete everything in core/cache/ by FTP.

Can you still get to the manager by going to domain.com/keweenaw.info/manager?

If so, you might log in there and clear the cache again, and also double-check your system settings.

If not, do you have access to phpMyAdmin or some other means of direct access to your database? You might have to search the database for references to the old URL scheme and change them by hand.

Edit to add: one other possible approach would be to re-install MODx directly on the new domain. You may as well do that anyway to upgrade to the latest version. Back everything up, make sure your config.core.php and config.inc.php are writeable (by user only , not by the public), make sure you have your database passwords, upload the latest version of Revo, go to www.keweenaw.info/setup/ and do the install. That will probably take care of it. Make sure to set config.inc.php and config.core.php back to read-only when you’re done.

          Thanks esnyder!!

I cleared the cache by hand and that totally did the trick. I can log in and see everything now...

My config settings were correct. I had them set to the absolute path for "path" and to the relative path, like "/manager/" for "url"... it looks like it was just a cache issue.

          Thanks for your reply!

Fwiw I was really nervous about deleting the cache by hand. I’m still a newb and didn’t know modx dynamically repopulates the whole directory. If anyone else has that same confusion, don’t worry about deleting the cache manually. Just empty the contents of core/cache/

LOL yeah, I was a bit hesitant to delete the cache the first time I did it too. I can’t remember why I had to do it, it might have been the same exact problem. Always back everything up, that way you don’t have to worry if you screw something up wink
