    Here’s the deal:
When i use my own web-hotel and domain i can get friendly url’s to work: i simply rename the file to .htaccess and edit the RewriteBase to my subfolder, and it works!

However when i use the domains i get from my school i cant get friendly urls to work!!

    My site configuration
    Friendly URL Prefix:blank
    Friendly URL Suffix:.html
    Use Friendly aliases:yes
    Use Friendly alias path:no
    Allow duplicate aliases:no
    Automatically generate alias:no

If i change the url prefix to "?q=" i can get link to work like this: site.dk/?q=ALIAS.html

My modx on school domain is in root folder so i suppose it should work with "RewriteBase /" ... huh

When you say you can’t get them to work are you getting any errors ??

Might be that they don’t allow htaccess or their hosts dont use it like names.co.uk ( we can’t host modx sites on them because of it )

        Hey paulp smiley

Okay, i will investigate if its an issue with the host, will have to wait for tomorrow though.

About errors, when i view my main page and click a link; "Sortimet"
        It’s says the following:

        Not Found

The requested URL /Sortiment.html was not found on this server.

That error is something that you would get if the htaccess isn’t being read with friendly url’s on.

What do you have in the htaccess, is it just the default ??

            Yeah it’s the default.

My modx is located inside /public_html/ (we have to hand in our projects like that) do i have to add public_html as an subfolder in the .htaccess ? Anyways when i do that (RewriteBase /public_html/) i get the exact same error as before:

            Not Found

The requested URL /Sortiment.html was not found on this server.
