Hello group,
I´ve just tried to do my first steps with ’MODX Revolution 2.1.2-pl (traditional)’
After the installation i got the following file structure under my root dir
*...
-> connectors
-> core
-> MANAGER
--> assets
--> etc etc...
I´m having a hard time with the MANAGER folder and the path.
During the installation there were already some complaints, but i could continue.
I´ve also uploaded some files into a new subfolder beneath assets, via GUI, that worked fine.
But in PACKAGE Management, i get this
Your assets/ directory was not able to be created at: /myrootdir/assets/
You will need to create this directory and make it writable if you want to use Package Management or 3rd Party Components.

During the installation there were complaints about this paths and directoroes.
Now I´ve tried to tell the system that my assets folder is under the MANAGER folder.
I tried to edit the
config.inc.php

$modx_assets_url= ’/manager/assets/’;
define(’MODX_ASSETS_PATH’, $modx_assets_path);

but no effect! Cleared the caches as well. Tried to cut the file temporary to see if
it´s active AT ALL, which it is...site went down.... after upping it, site was alive again. Great.
But no success...
btw: why does the config content look so different? Older config version? I´m a newbie...can´t compare the new stuff to any older versions.

So I edited the config file, re-uped it..and nothing happened.
Maybe i need to update the database itself, like it is described in the link above.
I just wonder why does all of this happens?
Do i need a SECOND assets folder in the root structure?
How come the manager folder doesn´t show up in the default config file?
Or did i made a mistake at the beginning?
