Have a couple of areas on a site where users can submit comments to articles in a blog - I have never run captcha codes on these before - but recently I am getting more spam type comments made, but many of these are not true spam, looks like people just putting some odd lines in, but I’m concerned that they might be trying to hack somehow - see below
These are not automatically published as I moderate all submissions - so am I safe or is there more to this?
I don’t really want to implement captcha as I have tested it on this site and it does not work in firefox or chrome, see
http://www.anotherharddayattheoffice.co.uk/sessions.html strange thing is that the captcha on the Eform (email page) works fine
Any suggestions ?
Further Edit I downloaded the latest version of Jot as I noted that on my sites running 1.0.5 captcha was not a problem in Chrome & Firefox and sure enough that works now - so hopefully I can now stop the damn spammers - though I’m still a little worried as it’s not classic spam!
