    Hi Guys, seem to be getting logged out when ever I save any alteration to a page (Very frustrating)

    Revo 2.1.1pl

    It was working fine but the other night it crashed and I couldn’t log back on, via these forums someone suggested deleting the core/cache/ files. I did this and could log back into the manager and all seemed fine.

    But today every time I need to click to do something I get logged out, I have flushed all permissions & caches (inc browser cache)
    heres the error from the log file

    [2011-06-28 19:00:56] (ERROR in xPDO::connect @ /services3/webpages/c/o/mysite.co.uk/public/core/xpdo/xpdo.class.php : 344) SQLSTATE[HY000] [2005] Unknown MySQL server host 'blahblah.carrierzone.com' (2)
    [2011-06-28 19:00:56] (ERROR @ /connectors/browser/directory.php) Error preparing statement for query: SELECT `modSession`.`id` AS `modSession_id`, `modSession`.`access` AS `modSession_access`, `modSession`.`data` AS `modSession_data` FROM `modx_session` AS `modSession` WHERE `modSession`.`id` = ?  - Array
    (
        [0] => 00000
    )

    Hope someone can shed some light on the frustrating little problem smiley

      .....Not sure but it may have been because Google Chrome was updating in the background? I click about (On Chrome) where is said installing update but since it restarted I can now save my changes?

      Very strange?

        Nope spoke too soon, its still not working Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

        Do I need to reinstall modx? (can I just dump a newly downloaded version over the top of the existing one and preform a setup??

        Or could the mysql host be having issues (My clients using BT as there host) hense database connection problem?

        Decisions, Decisions >:(

          If the host would be DB connection couldn’t be made, you wouldn’t be able to login at all so I’m not sure that is the main cause.

          Perhaps try to open up the database with PhpMyAdmin and flush the sessions database, clear the core/cache folder again and finally your browser cache.

          If that doesn’t work try running an upgrade like you suggested yourself.

                Open up the database with a tool like PhpMyAdmin and find (iirc) modx_session, and then choose to Flush/empty the database.

                  Sounds like you are having connectivity issues with the machine hosting the database server.

                    I’ve had a nightmare... reinstalled modx, reloaded mysql database, still same problems!

                    I’ve tried to flush the modx_session (In myslq) but am getting the following error:

                    SQL query:

                    FLUSH TABLE  `modx_session`

                    MySQL said:

                    #1227 - Access denied; you need the RELOAD privilege for this operation

                    also the overhead under that table "6,800B" (in red!?)

                    Hope someone can help because this will be a major pain in the ass if I have to start from scratch 20+hours sad
