Google Analytics plugin uses it I think.

It’s just a flag that can be used by plugins to turn off tracking. For example, the GA JS is not injected into the page when this field is not checked when using the plugin.

Hey I’m trying to use the enable stats tracking button for my google analytics snippet, but I haven’t got any idea what the variable name is or how to use it. Pretty much all I want to do is only show the google analytics code when the box is checked.

You’d need to install the GA plugin for the checkbox to have any effect.
