I have installed Modx 1.0.0. Everything working fine, but must have a path name wrong in config. If am editing a resource, I can click the inset button for a image templatevariable and it allows me to upload and pick image. But if I try to upload image using the icon in tinymce, I get the FCK windows, but no files are visible and trying to upload just spins. Same things happens when trying to upload files for link. My modx was installed in a root directory called web http://my_domain.com/web/

I currently am running with the option of Use Access Permissions Off.
    Using OS X server.

Make sure your folders are writable.
Also make sure the paths in "Tools/Configuration/Interface & Features AND File Manager" are correct. I personally do not know how to check if they are correct but you could try a new install and figure it out.

Path names seem to be correct, If I do a new install in an attempt to correct this problem, will my content stay intact?

Make sure that the "image" folder has the write permission.

I would suggest you try a new install in a new folder "web2". If you want to install over the current install make a backup first
