Hope someone can help, was updating a template clicked save, page locked up so closed browser tab, tried to log back into manager and now get the following error

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.mysite.co.uk/manager/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.

The page under construction is still up and running but no back end??

I have cleared cookies and browser cache, closed browser ect but nothing!!

Hope someone can help

What about your htaccess files?

Anything in the apache error log?

Can try clearing the core/cache folder.

When you say clear the core/cache, do you mean just delete every thing in that folder?

Yup. It’ll just regenerate next load.

Though you should definitely check your htaccess file like Anselm suggests and the apache error log.

Perhaps you can also check the modx error log (in core/cache/logs/error.log) before clearing that directory as well to see if there’s something in there.
