Greetings - I’ve developed a gallery website using MODx Evo. You can see it at www.wesleypicotte.com. I’ve encountered a scenario in which I want to include the same image, which constitutes a resource page, in multiple photo galleries. The site uses Ditto to pull child resources (image pages) created beneath a parent resource (a gallery page). An example gallery page is www.wesleypicotte.com/black-and-white-landscapes. Two related galleries are www.wesleypicotte.com/the-smith-rock-project and www.wesleypicotte.com/lewis-river-seen-as-moments. The ideal scenario is one in which I create an image page for all black and white images in the black and white gallery, and then nest select, existing resources beneath specialized galleries.

I’m not quite sure of the best approach for this. Any thoughts on a simple solution? Please bear in mind that the best solution is one that doesn’t require knowledge of MODx - I’d like to make this business user friendly. No manipulation of code once it is set up, in other words -- just actions the business user takes through the UI. Hope this makes sense.

    Thanks,
    Wesley

You could create a tagging TV with checkboxes for the tags, then you can use Ditto with its tagging feature to only pull the ones you want for a given gallery. The user just needs to check which tags to set for a given image resource.
