Okay so i’m pretty new to modx. I duplicated a site by just copying it from one server to another, then I created my database and copied over the original database. Everything was fine and I can view the first page however I cannot view the second or thirda pages. They exist in the tree and I have published them however they say that the url doesn’t exist on the server. The same thing happens when I tried to duplicate the resource that is working and when I try to create a new resource.
Can someone please help? I think the problem deals within a php file but i’m not sure what to do or where to begin. I don’t want to ruin some of the work i’ve already made and I don’t want to recopy the site but if i have to i will. I just need a proper way of doing it.

It would help to have a link to the site so we can check it out.
Without more details, I would guess this is a problem with friendly URLs and .htaccess - make sure that if you have friendly URLs turned on, that you’ve renamed ht.access to .htaccess and that the redirects there are working.
One way to test this would be to see if URLs of the form site.com/index.php?q=2 work. If that works but the friendly URL doesn’t, it’s probably a problem with .htaccess.
thanks for the reply, i figured it out, it was a problem with my .htaccess and the config.inc.php file as well.
had the rewrite base url wrong.
Also, do you know if there are any postings for beginner tutorials on setting up modx on linux, what you need and such.
