I am trying to make a page template that would allow user to select and use any number of images on a page.
For each of the images I am using a TV which is called from its own DIV (to allow positioning / floating).
This works very well in Firefox but IE seems to add empty space even for empty divs.
I googled and tried dozens of possible solutions but nothing seems to work in IE7 and IE8. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?
Many thanks!
Hi,
Without a link to look at, it’s hard to guess.
Nonetheless, a thought... IE is "helpful" in showing an error message when there’s an IMG tag that isn’t actually linked to an image, where other browsers quietly display nothing. Might that be what you’re seeing? That problem can be eliminated by Javascript.
Beyond that, IE does do a lot of other stupid little things that could cause this.
Thanks samba!
I actually ended up not using divs and assigning class to TV itself, so problem solved!
