    Hi All,

I’m using Revo 2.1.1 and I’ve changed my "File Manager Path" and "File Manager URL" to my "assets/" folder so you aren’t looking at the modx root folder when selecting files to upload/insert from the Resource Browser for image TV’s and the like. This is working great for adding images/files, but my image thumbnails aren’t showing in the resource browser window, only a box with a gray outline.

ImageMagick is definitely installed, so that’s not the issue.

If anyone has experienced this or has any thoughts, let me know.

    Thanks!

Hmm, went through some of those ideas but nothing seems to work.

I tried the full path for filemanager_path and filemanager_url (/home/username/public_html/assets/), where the base modx install is in public_html, but that didn’t work and then broke my paths to images when inserting new ones (so I went back to setting both of those to "assets/").

Attached is a screenshot of what I’m seeing.

One thought I’m having is that there are no .thumb files being created in the image folders, which I remember always seeing in EVO. I wonder if it’s a permission issue, though the folder is definitely writable seeing as I’m able to upload with no issues..

        so confused.

Did you tried to upload a new image to see if it gets visible after changes you made.
You could also try to set rb_base_dir and rb_base_url

            Hey Expanism,

I tried both of those ideas (new screenshot of my settings attached). Still nothing. So weird!

Are you talking about the MODx file manager, or the resource browser that comes with TinyMCE (the rich text editor)? Evo’s file manager does not show thumbnails of images, but the TinyMCE resource browser does.

                Hi Susan,

Sorry for the lack of clarity there. I’m referring to the TinyMCE Resource Browser. The main place that I am using the resource browser is for template variables set to a type of "image". You click the arrow on the input form for the image TV and the resource browser window appears. This is where the problem lies for me (see the screenshots).

I’m not familiar enough with Revo to be able to tell you how to set the paths for the Resource browser; in Evo it’s a completely different Configuration setting than for the MODx Manager’s file manager. I’m sure somebody who knows Revo will clarify things. This may be of use...

                      Hi Expanism,

I tried your settings, and I’m getting the same results as what I had. I can insert images perfectly, and base directory is correctly my "assets" folder, but still no image thumbnails. I’ve tried uploading new images, deleting everything in my core/cache file, and flushing everything in the manager / my browser cache.

                      Nothing.

                      Stumped.
