I needed to develop a subdomain site for mobile devices, I know there is an extra which will template a page according to device, but I wanted a subdomain which would return in google mobile and was completely independent from the main site so I copied the install of the parent site into a subdomain directory and used its database for the new site as well, added my templates and did a fresh install on the server. Everything works, except some of the extras such as tinymce, when I go to package management it throws this error
Could not transfer package tinymce-4.3.0-rc1.transport.zip to /home/directory/m.somesite.com/core/packages/.

I have already seen posts in this forum about curl being enabled because of this same error, but curl is enabled on the host’s servers, the parent site has no problems...
I made sure all the urls and paths are correct, the only thing seems to be that I can’t uninstall packages or install new ones...there are also some funky behaviors in other extras, as if the paths aren’t correct, the problem I suppose is that since I used the database from the parent site to have a quick "skeleton" of the new mobile site, there are tables which point to somesite.com instead of m.somesite.com. Again, in the system settings I have already double checked all the settings, and they seem fine, I even set the paths for the gallery extra to the correct path and it still can’t find the images.
extras like getpage and getresource work fine, but I can’t uninstall them.
Even though the parent site is 2.1.1, there was some problems which I had to correct, so I downloaded 2.1.1. again suspecting he updated javascript files, etc are in that packaged, uploaded them to the server and did yet another install.
tinymce isn’t important because I still have to update the mobile site as the main site is updated, it’s just a question of cut and pasting the html from the parent’s editor into the mobile site’s resource field, but i would like to know where the problem is so I can do this in the future, it cut the development load down by several days.
