modx: revo 2.1.1-p1 google sitemaps generating 404 with google webmaster tools

http://www.ajscg.com/sitemap.xml - is generated and accessible

However when submitting to google through webmastertools it generates a failed to download (404)

I setup all my redirects to point to www.ajscg.com so google will not see my domain separately.

my environment:
archlinux
apache 2.2.17-1
php 5.3.5-2
no caching

my access log shows:

66.249.72.84 - - [17/Jun/2011:08:01:24 -0400] "GET /sitemap.xml HTTP/1.1" 404 4699
24.163.93.204 - - [17/Jun/2011:08:01:40 -0400] "GET /sitemap.xml HTTP/1.1" 200 460

Google being the first address and the second one is me accessing it directly.

Any ideas?
