Hi Folks, I’m still learning MODX and would like to know what the best way is to create an ’updateable footer’, so that the customer can update the footer using TinyMCE in one place only and it be updated throughout all the pages. Currently i have the footer created as a chunk, but would rather limit my customer to only viewing the ’Resources’ tab. Is there any way to assign a TV to all pages, but with the same content, i.e. if the TV is updated on the Home page, it is also applied to all other pages that make use of the same TV? Or is there a better way to do this?

I would create a document named ’footer’ and leave it unpublished.

Then i would create a chunk that displays the content of that ’footer’ document. And then i would tell my client that if she wants to change the footer she has to edit the ’footer’-document.

Put that in your template or chunk:

[[getResourceField? &id=`6023` &field=`content`]]

Where 6023 is the id of the ’footer’-document.

You can download and install getResourceField from package manager.
