I am at a loss, and am hoping someone might come up with a bright idea!
We have two Revolution installs (2.0.4-pl2) on the same server.
On one particular machine (running Windows 7 - the only one we have running this, others are XP) we cannot log into the manager using IE8 - but only on one of the sites. The other one is fine, we can log in as normal. There is no error message, the username and password fields just clear when the Login button is clicked. IE has Protected Mode On. If we turn Protected Mode Off, then we can login as normal. The other (as far as we know identical) install we can log in whether in Protected Mode or not. It’s the same in Compatibility mode. Using Firefox we can log into both sites as normal.
So it’s a problem (?) with IE8 in protected mode, but only on one site. I can’t work out why this could possibly be.
Does anyone have any bright ideas? We would like to hand the site over to the client and would prefer not to run the risk of him not being able to log on!
