I am getting this error in the database screen of the installation process: MOD

I am getting this error in the database screen of the installation process:

MODX requires the pdo_mysql driver when native PDO is being used and it does not appear to be loaded.

No matter where i read on the subject I havent been able to find anything that tells me how to fix it!

I have enabled the extensions in the php.ini
I am using apache web server.
I have mysql downloaded and installed ( i hope correctly)

Any help on this - in as much simple terms as possible - would be greatly appreciated. I am not an experienced technical developer so simple is best

you need to add PDO plugin to your php config

http://php.net/manual/en/pdo.installation.php

Not sure if your using a remote host or your local machine. I just have my host company add it to my php config.
