I’ve been searching the net and the MODx forums looking for a solution whereby I can display content in a manner similar to the way that Flash sites do.

I do not want an image carousel. I want to display document content. So far, I plan to use Ditto to aggregate my content to be displayed and then a Javascript tool to page swap every member of the set returned by Ditto. Does anyone have a recommendation for a tool to use to do this? The transitions can be very simple.

I am using the latest version of Evo.

I have a nice tabbed rotator using Wayfinder, Ditto and this http://www.raymondselda.com/create-a-tabbed-content-rotator-using-jquery/

Wayfinder generates the necessary list for the tabs, while Ditto provides the list of content items.

Thank you, Susan! Another great example of your amazing skills. smiley

I’m wondering: does it bother you at all to use two JavaScript frameworks in your sites? I’ve pretty much decided to stick with ExtJS for everything I can but sometimes it seems a bit heavy. Have you had any discoveries that touch specifically on the use of both frameworks on the same site?

I use Evo, but in any case I’d use JQuery for my front-end work, as I’ve worked with extjs and don’t care for it.

Perhaps the somewhat slimmer jQuery Cycle Plugin could already fit your needs (without the tabbing feature, that said).

I find that JQuery has a lot more plugins for front-end widgets like this, while extJS seems more oriented towards web applications and user interfaces.
