    Hello -

I am in the middle of a change to a new hosting server. I was able to transfer the whole site using a cPanel migration.

I have changed the nameservers earlier today, but the update hasn’t propagated yet. Here is my question:

I have a bunch of changes that need to be made to the site before tomorrow morning, but I am still working on the old version of the site. I thought that I could make a backup of the site after I am done making the changes, but I’m not sure where I would upload the sql file after the the IP changes have been made. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Generally, you "export" it from the old site’s DB and "import" it the new site’s DB -- both in PhpMyAdmin.

Be sure to run Setup in upgrade mode at the new site.

You may end up having to modify some of the config files manually, but try the upgrade Setup first.

BTW, the Provisioner extra is a nice tool for moving sites.
