Hi,
I am looking for an easy way to "link" Web Links to PDF files. Currently the Web Link is mostly for entering doc IDs or pasting full URLs. What a bout an easy way to link to pdfs that are uploaded in the manager.
Here’s a solution:
An Insert button should be available to the right of the Web Link. on ick the button should open the default upload file popup, you upload the file that click the icon to populate the field. I think this can be implemented with ManagerManager
Are there any plugins that do something like this or maybe alternatives?
Thank you.

It can be done in three steps.
1. Create a normal web page resource, put in text like "Download" and use the rich text editor’s link button to turn that into a link; use the insert link window’s file select icon to get the resource browser that lets you select or upload and select a file from the assets/files folder.
2. Under the content field, select no rich text editor. Remove everything except the file path.
3. Go to the Settings tab and change the resource from Web Page to Weblink. Save.
I’ll admit, not as nice as having the file select option for a weblink directly, but unless somebody feels like adding all that javascript to the weblink editing page it’s as good as it gets.
