How do you edit field labels e.g. "zip" to "Post Code", "State" to "County"

Hi

How do you edit field labels e.g. "zip" to "Post Code", "State" to "County"

I have looked in the lexicon but did not find anything (I may have missed it, if it is there).

Please could someone tell me how to do this, I thought it would be a simple thing to do, but I just can’t find where to make these changes.

You should be able to edit those values in /core/lexicon/en/user.inc.php

You’ll need to clear your site cache to see any changes take effect.

Might want to watch out on upgrades though as the file might be overwritten. Would be great if someone can clarify this and suggest a way around it!

@einsteinsboi: they are user profile fields (User > Profile)

The better way is to use Lexicon, no?

It sure is! For some reason I couldn’t find the fields in there the first time, just checked again and they are there

Just go to Topic > User (on page 2) and you can browse through and find the zip/state fields to edit.
