    Hi,

Has anyone else had problems using a basic text TV in the Weblink field of a weblink? I’m trying to add a filename to the weblink field that’s added by the content editor, so that they only need to add the filename to the TV, rather than risk the editor mucking around with the whole address.

When I manually put the address of the file in the weblink and browse to the page id (www.mysite.com/index.php?id=694), the file shows fine. But when I use the TV in the weblink field and browse to the page id, the address looks like: www.mysite.com/[*tvFilename*]

I noticed that using TV with weblinks was added in 0.9.5.1, and I’m using 1.0.4. Help anyone? huh

If you’re making weblinks to internal MODx resources, you just click on the little icon to the left of the weblink field, then click on the resource to link to in the Tree.

As far as using TVs in the weblink, I just checked and it’s working as expected in 1.0.5, so it should do so in 1.0.4 as well.

No, not making links to internal resources, making a Weblink to a file in the assets/files directory. So the Weblink field would look like this when I save the resource: http://www.mysite.com/[+videoFilename+].

Might be able to get around it for now; I’m using Ditto to list out the pages, so I’m just referring directly to the TVs, rather than linking to the page id itself. Still doesn’t sort out the TV’s not working...
