You were dead on. I'm very confused as to why the hosting company would send me a wrong path file. They specifically sent me all these details.
Anyway, I'm having a new, and very unforeseen problem. The log-in details don't seem to work anymore. The username and password I use for the localhost doesn't let me in now that it's live. Any suggestions?
Do you mean logging in to the MODX Manager or the database credentials in config.inc.php? If you moved the site file *and transferred the database*, the same username and password should log you in to the Manager.
I mean the MODX Manager, as in mydomain.com/manager. I have moved the site and the database to the new servers. I'm using the username and the password that is in the `workspace_users` table (which are also listed in the config.inc.php). However it's telling me that log-in details are wrong.
I didn't change these details at any stage when I transferred the database, so I can still log onto the manager when it's on the localhost.
Update: I have changed my password in modx_users to 123456 using that long hex-code. I have been blocked, then unblocked myself on the modx_user_settings table, so that wasn't the problem. I've seen in other forums that people have cleared their cache and that seems to have worked, but I'm not sure how to do that without access to the manager.
Final Update (hopefully): Changed .htaccess back to ht.access. Now I'm in to the manager. Happy days.
Thanks Bob
I'm glad you got it sorted. Don't forget to change your password from 123456.
