    I am new to ModX.

I have a set of styles in my CSS which are being displayed in the ModX page editor.

If I pick a style called "bodycopy" why does TinyMCE insert <p><span style="font-family: __;"> and not
    <p class="bodycopy"> ?

Finally, can someone also explain what the Format drop down does to the RHS of Style?

Currently I am having to edit the pages manually which is counter productive and wish I had stuck to Dreamweaver.

    With thanks,

    Ed

      Hi ehasted,

actually i can’t reproduce this behaviour with MODx 1.0 Evo

when i mark a paragraph within the wysiwyg editor, apply a style to it (e.g. bodycopy) using the dropdown "styles", the paragraph will be assigned with the class="bodycopy"

maybe you got some Firefox Addons that mess with your Javascript, try a "clean" browser

you could mark your paragraph for example and change the html-format to a DIV...or an H1 etc.

Interesting - it appears to be a problem with Chrome. Firefox and IE8 work - thanks.

Finally can you tell me what the Format section, after Styles in the TinyMCE editor does.

I’m also new to modx and have been having the same problem. A lot of weird styles being applied when I use the editor. I’m using macintosh and safari. I’ll try using firefox as well and see if that helps.
