Typically 500 errors are cause by permission or htaccess issues. Try renaming .htaccess to off.htaccess and see if the site works (well without FURLs). If the site works post your full .htaccess content and we can point out suspects. If the issue still persists it’s permission related, so make sure your files/folders are chmod 644/755 (respectively) or whatever GoDaddy requires.

It looks like that’s a preview domain. Once the real one is up, it may work. The preview server may not have the capability to support MODX.

It’s also possible that one or more MODX files was corrupted in transfer. It happens.

It could quite easily be permission error’s, as explained in the install documentation "Make sure the directories "/core/packages","/core/cache", "/core/import", and "/core/export" are writable." and by that I mean 777 not 755. While 755 may have been fine on your old server you can’t assume that things will be the same on a different server.

If that doesn’t work then as suggested by Bobray it could be that files were not transfered / corrupted on transfer.
