Hi Everyone,
I’ve tried hard to write a snippet to register a user. How does this work in revolution? I need a custom snippet because Login cant handle the functionality I need.
Can anyone explain to me how I can make a simple register snippet (or maby someone found a resource)? I will look at the Login snippet how they done it.

I think your best bet would be to modify the login snippet to suit your needs as this is working and the person who created this snippet is a core developer (knows what he is doing) unlike me. I found it easy to extend his good foundation. you may find you only need to modify ’register’ and continue to use ’login’. These snippets can be highly customized with CSS they are only a basis to work from.
DEVELOPMENT ENV:- Ubuntu 12.04 | MODx Revolution 2.2.8 | LAMP 2i Apache 2.2.22 | Php 5.3.10 | Mysql 5.5.31 MySQL client version: 5.5.31
Just an expression of solidarity: I also need to set up a non-standard registration system, but I am following the advice of the previous poster and trying to modify the existing Register snippet (within the Login package), so far successfully (by just commenting out unnecessary lines).
What are you trying to do exactly?
The important thing is that I can modify the login snippet.
People need to be able to login with different e-mailaddresses. I have a table with accountDetails which is linked to the modUser. A user can have multiple accountDetails each with a different e-mailaddress.
Anyone knows how I can accomplish this?
I’ll modify the snippet so that the snippet looks at the e-mailadres, checks the linked contact and if the password matches the modUser than the user wil be loged in.
