    Just posted this over at http://bugs.modx.com (bug 4673). If anyone has any ideas, please let me know - I’ve exhausted about everything that I can think of.

    I’ve got two RC4 installs - one upgraded from 2.0.8 -> RC3 -> RC4 and one fresh RC4. In both cases, I followed the tutorial at http://rtfm.modx.com for setting up a blog. Also, in both cases, I’ve been using Quip 2.0.1-pl

    When there are no approved comments for a post, the resource can be viewed normally. However, after approving a single comment, attempting to view the resource resulted in a 404 error. When I remove the &threads property from the Quip call, the page loads as expected (though, obviously without the comments showing). QuipReply seems to have no unexpected effects - I can leave it on the page with any variation of properties.

    I’ve used the format for thread names as outlined in the tutorial (i.e. blog-post-[[*id]]) and have tried blogpost[[*id]] as well.

    QuipLatestComments also works as expected. The comment, author, and date all show normally on other pages.

    Only the Quip call seems to result in the 404.

    Env:
    Revo 2.1.0-RC4 (Trad)
    Quip 2.0.1-pl
    PHP 5.2.17
    mysql 5.0.91-community-log

      New Observation: New comments show up if user doesn’t provide a website. When the website field is left blank, the comments seem to register fine.

      However, if I remove references to the url in the comment template, it still sends the 404 error.

      UPDATE: I’ve nailed it down to line 331 in the Quip snippet.... If I comment out line 331 as shown below - everything works as expected. Now to figure out why!

        if ($showWebsite && !empty($commentArray['website'])) {
              $commentArray['authorName'] = $quip->getChunk($authorTpl,array(
      /*             'name' => $commentArray['authorName'], */
                  'url' => $commentArray['website'],
              ));
          }
