There is a keyword meta tag showing up in my source code, but I can’t figure out where its coming from. Does modx automatically add this tag somewhere or should I keep looking?
Hi,
Generally speaking, no, you wouldn’t have that generated by MODx automatically. If you have an old version of Evo, there’s a klugdey way to have metatags that is a setting buried in the configuration, and those would be stuck in there on-the-fly. And those, if I remember, could be set somewhere on a page’s setting on a "back tab" or something.
The only other thing I can think of is if it’s in a TV.
In Evo, there was a setting in Tools -> Configuration that would do that. Otherwise, it’s almost certainly a template variable.
You might look in the <head> section of your template for a tag that displays it.
Are you trying to edit it or remove it?
What version of MODX?
I just basically finished taking my site from Evolution to Revolution.
I am trying to remove it because I am using the TV method of keywords instead. Having two keyword meta tags doesn’t hurt though right? Just messy?
What tags appear in the <head> section when you edit the template in the Manager (assuming that the keywords meta tag isn’t actually *in* the template)?
I dont think two keywords tags is the end of the world, but I would still correct it so it does not like you are stuffing duplicate keywords.
