Resource filter on frontend

Hi, I need a resource filter on the frontpage, can’t locate one for myself and can’t write one :/ maybe someone knows how to make it or know a good tutorial, something! I willing to pay for it. Thank you!

P.S. By filter I mean a sidebar block with dropdown menus which filter contents of the page by some of the parameters in that filter (resource category, some TV etc.).

Which version of MODx? Sounds like you’re looking for this http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/tagLister.getResourcesTag (for Revo) or this http://www.kunane.com/modx/ditto-tagging-and-virtual-categories.html (for Evo)

Thank you Susan, will look into that!

Yes, forgot about the version, I’m using Revolution 2.1
