    I have the Revo blog tutorial working nicely - except for an Archivist call.
    In the sidebar I display the list of archived posts with the code from "Creating a blog in . . ." with the resource id’s set for my resources 24 & 25 and the archive page = 20.

    <h3>Archives</h3>
    <ul>
    [[!Archivist? &target=`20` &parents=`24,25`]]
    </ul>

    This code is not producing the correct - resource id. When I click say on "April 2011" it takes me to the error page 404 page not found.

    Looking in Firefox status bar, I can see that hovering over it is giving: id=202011/04 and there is no such resource.

    The code in the resource id=20 is right out of the tut (again with my resources substituted;

    [[!getPage?
      &element=`getArchives`
      &elementClass=`modSnippet`
      &tpl=`blogPost`
      &hideContainers=`1`
      &pageVarKey=`page`
      &parents=`24,25`
      &includeTVs=`1`
      &toPlaceholder=`archives`
      &limit=`10`
      &cache=`0`
    ]]

    <h3>[[+arc_month_name]] [[+arc_year]] Archives</h3>

    [[+archives]]

    [[!+page.nav:notempty=`
    <div class="paging">
    <ul class="pageList">
      [[!+page.nav]]
    </ul>
    </div>
    `]]

    Any help would be appreciated.

      Try loading the archives/ page directly.

        Works fine. If I enable it as a menu item it displays posts OK.
        Or if I go on the address bar and delete the ’2011/04’portion of the address, it pulls up the posts.

        But not if I try to use the "April 2011" link in the sidebar.

          Is the ID of the page you put the getArchives call on in the System Setting ’archivist.archive_ids’ by chance? (in format ID#:arc)

            Thanks for the help.
            If I correctly understand your question; I looked at Tools>System Settings and all 6 pages of it and did not see anything that looked like "System Setting ’archivist.archive_ids’

            Did I look in the right place?
            Should it be there?

            When I look at your site and hover over an archives entry for Feb 2011, I see it is calling for . . .archives/2011/02
            What I get on my site on hovering over April 2011 is: localhost/index.php?id=202011/04 - clicking on it goes to page id 4 "Resource not found"

              Sounds like you don’t have FURLs enabled - you need FURLs enabled to run Archivist.

                You are correct. On the advice of another post for a different reason I disabled FURL. I’ll re-enable it and see how things work.
                That FURL in needed and one other item would make important additions to the tutorial.
                1. That all the actual posts pages (resources) need to have the "Hide from menus" cleared.
                I thought just the opposite was needed and I had the boxes checked and nothing showed.
                2. That FURL is needed for Archivist to work.

                That the "Hide from menus" needed to be cleared is not stated in the tut, and I thought just the opposite was needed and I had the boxes checked.

                I’ll be glad to add those items to the tut if you like.
                Cheers, and thanks for the help,

                  SR:
                  I think I enabled FURL - but I’m not sure how the 17 FURL items should be configured. Is there someplace to see what the default settings should be?

                  Also with FURL enabled none of the posts that I created earlier will pull up - they all now give a 404 error. I suppose I need to create new posts or modify the old ones so FURL will see them. correct?
                  Thanks,
                  HalD

                    Whoops!
                    Now that I enabled FURL (I think I did) nothing works. I can no longer pull up any post page, that previously worked. So some item in FURL is stopping everything.

                    I’m goingo back into system settings and change FURL settings one item at-a-time to see which one disabled everything.

                      With FURL enabled in system settings nothing works - post pages cannot be pulled up at all, any which way via the site. When I disable FURL all works except for the archives.

                      Unfortunately the site is not live, only on my PC via XAMPP & localhost, so there is no way right now to show it to you.

                      Back to work . . . sigh!
