[SOLVED] Crazy Character Escaping happening throughout Resource Content?

Hey guys,

The Evolution sites on my server have all gone NUTS with crazy character escaping all throughout the resource content on saving...

crazy stuff like this started showing up in the HTML:


I changed this in TinyMCE to href="[~145~]" and onSave it got escaped to:


With Richt Text editing switched off I still get the following in the output after saving:


I manually tried href="[~145~]" and onSave got:

saving again:

and again:

and it just snowballs from there into insanity.

Not sure how long this has been happening but I did change my Apache server a couple weeks ago to recompile with PDO support for Revolution. Only Evolution sites are having this problem (Wordpress/Revolution seems completely unaffected).

I upgraded to Evo 1.0.5 but the issue persists. On one site it looks like 40+ pages have their resource content all garbled

Could it be a PHP security setting or something like that?

Does anybody know what could be causing this???

Looks like somebody changed the php.ini setting for magic_quotes_gpc. That needs to be set to Off.
