    hi there everyone,

I am new here and just installed modX Revolution 0.9.6.
    I want to set:

    mydomain.com/index.php?d=1

    to

    mydomain.com/testing.html

But I dont know how to achieve this.

I have tried using this guide:
    http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Friendly_URLs_Guide

But there are some things that I cant find, namely:
    - The link to "SEO (Google) Friendly url’s"
    - "In the modX manager, go to "Tools" -> "Configuration" (or "Administration" -> "System Configuration" pre 0.9.5)"

I have searched the forum here, and to be honest, I understand none.

    Please help.

    Regards,
    Ron

Revoltion started at 2.0.0. The 0.9.6 branch was for Evolution.
Working off the assumption its Revolution, have you renamed the .htaccess file in your web root?
If so have you then enabled Friendly urls in System Settings?
      Are you using Apache?

        hi Jusmeig,

        All is now fine.
I installed previously in modx subfolder.
I reinstalled it in root folder now, and it works fine after Switching on (Yes) the Friendly URL Settings.

Bottom line, this case is closed
        Thank you for replying =)

        Regards,
        Ron

Just in case you were actually talking about Evolution, you really should upgrade to the latest version 1.0.5.

Indeed, that is a very old version of Evo that should be upgraded.
