after several Modx 0.9x and Evo projects I’m doing my first revolution ;-)

MODx Revolution 2.0.8-pl (traditional)
My problem is, that I’m not able to change the field labels.
I made a Form Customization Profile, restricted to a certain template.
I created sets for resource/create & resource/update, where fileds are hidden, tvs are set, tabs are renamed, default values are set ... and pagetitle and longtitle labes should be renamed.
Everything works just fine, great stuff really! but renaming the labels, NO! not on resource/update and not on resource/create.
I really tried about everything, change the lang from german back to english, tried to set the labels only on resource/create OR resource/update, checked on several browsers on mac on win, flushed emptied browser caches and flushed sessions ... hm ... Title and Long Title remain Title and Long Title.
On Firefox 3.5.9. OSX 10.6 I ran firebug and found these script calls:
MODx.on("ready",function() { MODx.renameLabel("modx-panel-resource",["pagetitle"],["Nachname"]); });
MODx.on("ready",function() { MODx.renameLabel("modx-panel-resource",["longtitle"],["Vorname"]); });
obviously the information is there, but nothing happens ... not even a js error ... :•(
is this the end?
any hints and ideas greatly appreciated!
