The best server configuration for MODx Revolution

Hi all,

End this week our provider is visiting us for a talk about a specific MODx Revolution server. Our current servers are running very slow with MODx Revolution that’s why we want to look at it. But I could not find a good list with best specifications for a good Revolution server. Could someone give me the best config? From OS to software?

What we’re using now

CentOS release 5.5 (final)
Apache 2
PHP 5.2.14
MySQL 5.1.49 (also PDO)

Some additional plugins;
- suPHP
- cURL
- GD2
