I would like a client to be able to upload, say, up to 5 media files on to his site and have them accessible on a given page. I could create 5 TVs of type "file" and a snippet, which would check for non-empty TV fields and output the appropriate html for the associated player as needed. The snippet would then be called in the location on the page where the media should be accessible.
Or - and this is what I am uncertain about - could I use the Custom TV functionality in Evo 1.0.5 in some way to accomplish the same thing easier/faster/etc? I was thinking that there might be a way to provide a custom-wrapper around the value of the TV but I don’t see an obvious way of doing that. Or I just haven’t quite gotten my head wrapped around this yet.
Ideally, I’d like to be able to have a type of "music" or "video" which has customized code associated with it, and which could be used multiple times on a page (like the Multi-Photo custom TV solution).
Does anyone have any tips, examples or thoughts they can share?
TIA,
Matt
You might be able to use the FileUpload snippet for the uploads (maybe tweaking it to limit the max uploads) and then use an @DIRECTORY TV to show the files.
