Hello there. I am still in diapers when it comes to modx, so I would appreciate if someone could answer any of the questions.
As I understand there are no categories in modx strictly speaking, but one can create multiple posts inside one folder which could be considered as parent category. But how can I refer to a folder outside one folder? Or at least create a referral via tv or such?
To make things more clear, I have following structure:
Articles
-category 1
-category 2
-category 3
Authors
-author 1
-aurhor 2
... etc
Now I want article under ’category 1’ to also refer to ’author 2’ in ’Authors’ folder.
Please note that Authors folder can be something else, like issue type etc, because I know that authors can probably be treated differently, as users or so. This is just a concept.
Also it would be great if I had an option to create new article just with one click, like in WordPress ie. So form would look like:
-title (text field)
-category (dropdown list of folders in ’articles’)
-author (dropdown list of authors)
-etc.
Is this doable at all? Again, all suggestions very much appreciated.
