I’m having an issue where some things will not save from the modx manager. I can create and save resources without issue, but elements (snippets, chunks, etc) do not save. I click save and a quick progress bar pops up, but my changes to the element are not saved. The same thing happened when I tried to create a new content type. I’m logged in as admin.

I verified the database user and it has all permissions enabled. I can manually write to the modx database from the database superuser, just not through the modx web interface.

Does anyone know what I can check? I have full shell access to the server.

Update: Just figured out that the right click menus do work. If I right click and do a quick update on the elements then they do save. It seems that the "Save" button just isn’t working. I’m baffled.

    Relevant info:
    OS: Amazon Linux
    Modx Version: Revolution 2.0.8-pl (traditional
    Database: MYSQL 5.1.47
    Webserver: Apache/2.2.16 (Unix)
    PHP Version 5.3.5

Solved: Changed the directory permissions for manager to 755 and now can save as normal. Kinda confused why it was half working without these permissions.
