I need to use the extension .htm on the end of my article names. Friendly URLs is configured and working properly. I would just use the content type html but it adds .html to the end of the articles. How can I use .htm?

I found the "Content Types" confguration area, but my updates won’t save when I try to add a new content type (i’m logged in as admin). Anyone know the name of the file these configurations are written into? I might need to change the file permissions for the configuration change to take.
Main menu System -> Content types
Change extension for HTML from .html to .htm
Save it.
Clear cache to see changes.
