    I did just install MODx Revolution for the first time, but I find that I cannot edit any System Settings. Therefore it is impossible for me to change the Site Name and Friendly URL’s. I used MODx Evolution on several websites before, but never encountered this problem before.

    What could possibly cause the problem?

    I am using;

    MODx Revolution 2.0.8-pl (traditional)

    Webserver: Apache/2
    MySQL-client versie: 5.0.51a
    PHP5 (with safe_mode and register_globals switched off by default by the webhost)
    Server OS: The webhost only states that the server OS is UNIX based, probably a Linux server.

    I am using Firefox 3.6.16pre (FF 4 Beta)

    Let me know if you need more info

    ** EDIT **

    I have attached a screenshot now. As you can see, I can click until tomorrow, but the only thing that happens is the area to close and open again. I cannot put any text in the text field

      I think you’re clicking on the description. Double-click on the current value (third column from the left, where it says MODx Revolution) or right-click and select "update."

        Thanks, it works!!

        I believe it is just a bit misleading, as it is saying; "Enter the name of your site here"

          Good point. If you hadn’t happened to pick that particular System Setting, you probably wouldn’t have been stuck.

          OTOH, it does say this at the top of that page:

          Double-click on the value column for the setting you’d like to edit to dynamically edit via the grid, or right-click on a setting for more options. You can also click the "+" sign for a description of the setting.
