    Hey Guys,

I recently encountered an odd problem with a MODx 1.0.5 installation (which I think is connected to the web server or maybe php) when it comes to uploading files. I used to be able to upload FLV video files using the FCKEditor via a File TV I made without problems. It’s an 8MB file. Recently though, the web upload just hangs when the bar reaches 50%. I see that Firefox is transferring since the message on the status bar is "sending request to xxxxx". After several minutes, it just says done without the bar moving, making appear like it hanged.

I’ve been uploading other file types without problems, like 8MB PDFs. I also tried renaming 1MB, 2MB, 4MB, and 8MB files to have an FLV extension and these have no problems getting uploaded. The real FLV files that I’ve been trying to upload has been and is still giving me problems though with the FCKEditor refusing to upload them by just dying out on me.

I’m going to try to have the web server reset and see if that helps. Has anyone else encountered this problem though?

Here are some basic info about the server setup:

OS: Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2, v.4666
    Webserver: Apache/2.2.17 (Win32)
    PHP: Version 5.3.3
    DB: MySQL Server 5.1

Update 1: I tried uploading another real FLV file worth about 3MB, and guess what, it works! But the other one still doesn’t want to upload #$)(*$!!!! Caching issue?

    Cheers,
    Les

Ok, found the answer to this problem. It seemed I only set the PHP variable max_upload_filesize, but didn’t touch the max_post_size. Increasing both solved my problem.
