Gallery also has some Path-Settings in the System Settings.
Go to System->System Settings and choose gallery from the Dropdown.
Try to change the paths for your new server.

      Cheers

Hi, I’ve done but it’s still broken. It always has the more different problems, every time a new one..

Also, after unistalling it (completely) and then right click on the table and choosed ’remove package’, logged out and re logged in, gallery is still visible on the table (see attachement)!!!! It’s a nightmare..

i feel your pain - every time i move my local copy of the database to the remote server i have problems with the Gallery. I can’t nail down what it takes to fix the problem. I keep futzing around, uninstall, reinstall, change paths, spin around 3 times, etc. and somehow eventually i get it to work. Sorry that this is only anecdotal stuff. I keep taking notes of what i do but every time is a new adventure.

2 things you must check are the paths mentioned above (which you have done) and the xxxyy_workspaces record in the MySql database. Even after you fix those there is no guarantee the Gallery will work.

I hope someone can figure it out because this is one of two recurring issues that are really killing my productivity using MODx.

            Steve

Wow Steve, finally someone that know what I’m saying and the huge Gallery problem!!!
As you said, anyway, that 2 fixes don’t fix Gallery at all (at least for me).

A good image manager is definitely essential for a CMS to be a good CMS, so I really hope and strongly suggest that Gallery will be fixed soon, or that a definitive manager of some other nature will be created. After all, Gallery is not currently a final version. Also, in the docs they write this:

"Gallery is a temporary solution built until either another, more powerful gallery solution is built for Revo, or until someone other than the core team takes up Gallery maintenance and development."

              This is BAD, really.

Thank you Steve for sharing your pain.
