    HI:

I couldn’t find "tools>configuration" button in modx revolution 2.0.7. How can I enter a name for my site in site name field if I couldn’t get in to config file?

Basically I follow the Beginner’s Guide to MODx and stuck in a place after I create folder in my modx server and copy and paste my file to there. please pleas tell me how to do it...

    Thanks to all!

Revolution has a slightly different manager layout - I think you are following the tutorial for Evolution.

If you’ve managed to install MODx, to find the settings and change your site name go to System > System Settings. Then click the ’filter by area’ dropdown, click Site, and you’ll see the Site Name setting. Double click to edit.

Here’s a good tutorial for getting started with MODx Revolution.

Reinforcing what the previous poster added while I was typing - which tutorial are you following - can you give the link please?

After you upload the files to the server, the first thing you need to do is point your browser at http://yourdomain.com/setup (replace ’yourdomain.com’ with whatever host/domain you are using). The setup process creates the config file.

Once you have run setup and logged in to the manager - http://yourdomain.com/manager - you will see a tab across the top menu saying ’System’. Under ’System’ is ’System Settings’. The key you are looking for is site_name.
