I have been trying to setup a user that only has access to the Resources/Elements/Files trees. Here’s what I’ve done:

    Under Access Controls
    1. Role Editor-5 is setup
    2. AdminEditor Access Policy with AdministratorEditorTemplate is setup
    3. AdministratorEditorTemplate Policy with Template Group Admin and all 126 permissions checked is setup (will uncheck items after all works ok)
    4. Right click Administrator under User Groups
    5. A User is setup with a Role of Editor
    6. A context is setup for mgr | Editor - 5 | AdminEditor

I flushed permissions/sessions and cleared cache and 2 things are not right when logging in as that new user:

    1. The Resource Tab shows but the tree does not
    2. The Files tree shows the top level Files but no sub-directories (ie. assets, etc.)

    Any ideas/suggestions?

The user’s group needs a Context Access ACL entry with the ’web’ context in order to see the web resources.

The files thing is just weird. I don’t know what would cause that if the user has full permissions for the mgr context.

I don’t see how adding the ACL entry would fix the files issue, but I guess it’s best not to look a gift horse in the mouth. wink
