Our existing website runs on 0.9.6.3, I have installed Evolution 1.05 on a new server with the existing host and migrated files across. 1.05 is running under a new domain of newwww.company.com
I have asked the domain host what is involved in the actual migration to determine if the new site will be broken during migration and how long it will take to fix. The domain host have informed me:
- www CNAME for company.com will change from web-101.gconnect.net to web-102.gconnect.net (CNAME in newwww.company.com records)
- The server name will change as the site will be accessed from www.company.com, so any references will need to be changed
PHP Info currently displays the server name as newwww.company.com.
Is the second point likely to break MODX, if so is it easily fixed by a novice?
Maybe run the installation upgrade again if it breaks?
