I’m trying to get Modx to use absolute paths for images with no joy.

I changed the configuration settings in Tiny MCE and when I look at the HTML in the back end it shows the full url, however when I go to the live site it just shows a relative url.

This is problematic as I’m using modx as a blog and of course relative urls aren’t going to work in an rss feed.

How can I get images to use the full path?

    I’m on evo 1.04

    Thanks

      Hi,
There’s a topic for starting an argument. smiley
Answer - use Wordpress, absolute URL’s everywhere!

All seriousness aside, with my system I can easily swap back and forth between having Tiny use absolute or relative URL’s, and indeed, the image gets either URL type fine. So I don’t know what to tell you. I’d imagine that having a Base Href in your templates may help with stuff like RSS feeds and such, but that’s not my bailiwick.

Yeh, I used to use Wordpress but I got sick of all the problems and bugs with it.

Using Modx as a blog is much nicer. Way easier to use and not too many headaches.

The images show up on the site either way, just not in the feed.

        Got me beat.

I got around it by putting the image folder outside of the asset folder.
