Hi all, I have a fairly decent handle on modx, I am using revolution, but I am a solitary designer with minimal php and mysql skills.
I know, by looking at the extras area on the main modx site, there is a third party reservation system available, but does anyone else know of any other reliable cut and paste solutions (i.e. like disqus for blogs) that would be suitable for a hotel or a reception hall and which could be easily added to a modx template?
I have googled, but much like everything else out there, it’s always best to get some opinions first.

You may try asking the person behind this post: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,56918.0.html

I think otherwise people roll their own system or integrate a third party solution.

Thanks AMD builder, wish I could work PHP and mySQL like some you guys, I am fairly useless at this other than small little snippets sad
The thing is, with a bit of googling, I have come across quite a few third party solutions, but was hoping for any feedback from others who have used used these solutions, i’d hate to set a client up with a reservation system that just ends up turning into a nightmare for them.

Someone is building restaurant reservation systems: the last two decent restaurants we went to both had an iPad at the front desk with very cool looking reservation & seating chart apps running...
