    I am trying to move a site from evolution to revolution but am encountering a problem with tags called from the migration

    The title of the page is in this format in evolution in folders and have a menu title, some use title description etc but this is the type of thing

    [*menutitle*] Rocking Horses, Dolls in [*menutitle*]

    And the page is like this
    <p> </p>
    <p>[*menutitle*] Rocking horses, Dolls in [*menutitle*], Childrens toys in *menutitle*] </p>
    <p> </p>
    <p> </p>
    <div class="info_panel_heading">
    <h1> [*menutitle*] Rocking Horses</h1>

    BLAH BLAH BLAH
    </div>

    What I would like to know is if I can do this in revolution as it will take 100’s of hours to recreate each of these landing style pages hard coding the reference?

    All help appricated

      Are you using the correct tags? Revo uses [[*...]] instead of [*...*]

      If you have a lot of these, I would recommend working out a quick sql query and running it directly in your MySQL client interface (phpMyAdmin, most likely)

          Thought i’d quickly clarify

          [[*menutitle]] which is the revolution tag in the title (Resource part) doesn’t work and it doesn’t display in the title and or in the content?

          is there away to enable this etc?

            It’s enabled by default and it definitely works. Be sure that the page *has* a menutitle and that you clear the site cache after making your change.

            If necessary, delete the files in the core/cache directory manually.

              I am using Revolutions MODx Revolution 2.0.0-pl rev7212 as a test, to test the parts on my site

              The Page that should be printing the menu title is
              http://tinyurl.com/653mems

              It should be in the title and also in the main content and its no shown either, it is set up as per the attached image

              But i’ve never used this method in revolution before and would like to know how to do it

                You are using [[++menutitle]], while you need to use [[*menutitle]]

                The [[++...]] syntax refers to system settings and obviously there’s no system setting with the key "menutitle".

                The [[*...]] syntax is used for resource fields (including template variables) which are being filled based on the current resource.

                Have a look at this http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Tag+Syntax
