I have a website using a drop down menu. One of the sections in the site is a blog. So all the posts are child pages of the blog. But if they are not set to be hidden from the nav then they would appear in the drop down menu. Now if they have 100 posts, that is a really bad drop down menu.
Is there a way to have all child pages of the blog have "Hide From Menus" checked by index?
Also is there any way to have all child pages use a specific template by default?
Thanks, Landon
In what way you are outputting your data?
If getResources - use &depth or &where=`{"template:=":8}`
I mean if I have a blog set up. My blog posts use a different template then the other pages.
So when I create the page in the admin it defaults to BaseTemplate or the parents template. But I want them to be ’MySpecialTemplate’, I also want "Hide From Menus" checked by default.
Is this possible?
sorry, I’m not so good at english as I wished to be )
Word "posts" has confused me )
I am interested in this option too, but for now you can just create one more category with required template as just a parent to inherit template.
PS Where is this checkbox "Hide from menus"?
"Hide From Menus" is one of the options when editing a resource.
Sorry about "Posts" just using Blog wording.
Creating a parent with the same template would work but unfortunately the parent has a different template.
