    Hi,

    I am currently porting our 0.9.6.3 site over to a new server in preparation to upgrade to Evolution then Revolution (I have a post regarding the procedure of this here http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,59820.msg340241.html#msg340241).

    I have installed 0.9.6.3 on the new server successfully and copied files over etc according to the moving site documentation http://rtfm.modx.com/display/MODx096/Moving+Site

    When I load a page I receive the following error:

    « PHP Parse Error »

    PHP error debug
    Error: Function split() is deprecated
    Error type/ Nr.: - 8192
    File: /data/company.com/httpdocs/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php
    Line: 844
    Line 844 source: $tempSnippetParams= split($splitter, $tempSnippetParams);

    The manager is accessible.

    I have contacted the domain host and they have informed me it is due to PHP 5.3.

    Should I look to fix this, if so how or should I try upgrading to Evolution?

      Upgrade to Evo (with all standard disclaimers including backup first...).
